Maldives embassy in Germany together with the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has launched a campaign at Mall of Berlin in Germany to promote Maldives.
The campaign is being carried out at Dr Machts, one of the most popular salons at the Mall of Berlin.
As part of the campaign, all three TVs at the salon have been displaying promotional videos of Maldives, with the outside TV on the storefront window exclusively targeted for shoppers. A separate corner in the salon has also been dedicated to promotional materials of the Maldives.
Clients visiting the salon are entitled to win free holidays to the Maldives simply by answering questions about the destination.
“Mall of Berlin, being the most preferred and the biggest shopping centre in Berlin this would be a great opportunity to reach out to locals and tourists visiting Berlin,” a statement issued by MMPRC read.
“This opportunity will be great to promote the destination and to provide locals with a learning experience for the German.”
Germany is currently the second largest source market to the Maldives. A total of 112,109 Germans chose Maldives for their vacation in 2017 — a growth of 5.2 percent compared to the previous year.
